OpenVZ and LXC
BHive loves OpenVZ and LXC, container-based virtualization technologies for Linux that create multiple secure, isolated containers on a single physical server enabling better server utilization. Each container performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server.
A limited number of containers on our local server is available for select clients. CentOS, Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, OpenSUSE, Slackware, or Ubuntu can be deployed in under a minute.
Each container comes with an Apache, lighttpd, or nginx web server, Postfix and Dovecot mail servers, and the MAJ content management system. BHive can setup and manage any additional service or application that you may need.
BHive is a part of the Bluepoint Incubator Project. Proceeds from our services will help generate funds for Bluepoint Foundation, employ Bluepoint Institute graduates, and provide grants for local Free and Open Source Software developers and innovators.
Virtualization increases server efficiency, cuts down energy costs, decreases capital and operational expenditures, and reduces carbon emissions.
